Can't upgrade my 1734-AENT

I have a system where a 1734-AENT module died. It was FW Version 5.001. I have a replacement module, FW Version 6.011. My software is Studio 5000, V32.00, and my project is on a 1769-L37ERMS, V32.11.

My problem is that I when I go to update my I/O tree to the newer version, there is no 1734-AENT/C to select. I've downloaded and installed the V6 AOP but that didn't work. It still doesn't show up.

Right now I'm in the process of updating Studio to V32.01 to see if that helps. Does anybody have any ideas why I can't get the 1734-AENT V6 to show up?

can you see 1734-AENT in RSLInx?

Yeah, I can see it in RSLinx and from within the online project, I can see it when I do a Module Discovery in the IO tree. There it shows the module for what it is and tells me it does not match the project. I can see it - I just can't use it until I successfully update my project.

Mike - I have no problem seeing the 1734-AENT. I can connect with it via ping, web page, RSLinx, and RSLogix, all with no problem. The device is working fine. The problem is getting my Studio 5000 project to recognize it as a valid selection.

i saw compatible list for 1734-AENT V 6.011 is only for 1769-L37ERMOS V32.11 but is not for 1769-L37ERMS v32.11, can you make sure your controller number?

I finally figured it out (it was actually in the release notes if I'd only believed them).

The new Series C, Version 6.011 module USES the Series B, Version 5.011 drivers. So, once I changed my configuration in Studio 5000 to 5.011 and downloaded, all is well again.

And, yes, my processor is definitely a 1768-L37ERMS and, yes, the two are now happily communicating.
