Hi, I can't seem to find a thread on this, so I'm starting one.
I want to use 2 PTO outputs off a BXB 1400 Micrologix series C. BUT... I need the peak output voltage of 10- 12 vdc. Can I just bring in 12vdc to the Group 2 Outputs.... or do I need a voltage divider downwind of the 24vdc outputs.
I would like to keep this simple.

Thanks in advance!

That's a great question !

I think that the high-speed output circuits that serve Outputs 2,3 and 4 on a MicroLogix 1400 are designed only to work with 24V +/- 10%, so your voltage reduction is going to have to be done with a level shifter or other downstream circuit.

There is a Knowledgebase document (ID: QA20637 | Access Levels: TechConnect) that explicitly repeats that question:

Can 12V DC be wired to VDC2 to get the FET Outputs work properly on 1766-L32BXB?

And the answer is a restatement of the 24V power supply specification.
