I learned something in this thread, too. Apparently they aren't trying to sell something overpriced and fancy, it's just that they have a product family that sits below where all the other major manufacturers start....

I pulled it from A-B's ProposalWorks software and even got a list price.
It's listed in the specification sheet, too:

It's definitely not a preferred availability item, but I'm not sure why it's not on the website.

Maybe it's a localization issue?
The U.S. version of the A-B website product selection shows up to 97 A, but not the 55 A one.
