Vijeo Designer and RS5000 emulator

All,
Just started to work with Vijeo Designer 6.1.4 SP4 and was wondering if there is a way to point their simulator to RSLogix5000 emulator since I don’t have real hardware at this time.

Logix emulator will not accept connections from anything but factoryTalk studio.

I don't think this is completely correct. I "think" [Memory] I was able to get Ignition pointed to it a couple years ago.

IDK If after 5 years you still need it, but this works pretty good:

You can use the RS Linx OPC Server.

True, ignition clx driver will work pointed to IP address of box hosting emulator. But it looks to only work on windows 10 and later versions of emulate.

Other packages may with as well.
