go online slc 500

ok i made a cross over cable i am connecting a non serial laptop to a 5/05 slc proc anyone tell me what or how to config drivers to go online?

Using the SLC's serial port if it is configured for DF1 protocol do the following:

what do you mean by a non serial laptop? what you need to do is start up rslinx, click on the communications tab and then configure drivers. click on the drop down box underneath available driver types and select rs 232 df1 devices then click add new. once it shows up underneath configured drivers highlight it and select configure. just hit auto configure then it should set it up for you.
