DL06 Data logging

Just been working for a few years as a normal Electrician. Hey Phil. So working on a simple process just going 16 bit, a couple analog sensors in, and relays to start systems, and possibly an analog out, or two. Going to use the typical c-more micro hmi. I want to use a dl06 just because I do know how to program those guys, but oddly never had done data logging. I have heard I can either use a network card, and scada software on a remote computer, or have the hmi do the data logging itself.

The DL06 has a serial port capable of Modbus RTU. You could use a program like AdvancedHMI to communicate and log the information.

The above link is a simple program to get information from the Solo temperature controller using AdvancedHMI through Modbus RTU.

The other option is to use a Do-More or Productivity 1000 series plc and log the data to a micro SD card. This would put a file on the card that can then be emailed out on a regular basis.

Another way is to use a C-More instead of the C-More Micro. The CMore has data logging capability (CSV) as well as a FTP Server to retrieve the information on a network.
