I want to be able to scan in bar codes and display them on my Siemens MP 377 panel. I'm using an s7-315 PLC. Where would I start for configuring this?

No idea about what bar code reader you have, but there are several versions (protocols, serial, dnet, ethernet etc), but once you got communnication between your plc and your bar code reader you can display that info anywhere. So the first you´ve got to do is to be sure what protocol you have and what code reader to use in order to communicate them. In my case I got an Accusort bar code reader (http://www.accusort.com) thru serial DF1 and my plc is a compact logix 1769-L32E.
