Hi everyone,

New poster, long time viewer. I've got an application where I'll be using a Powerflex 753 with additional I/O module (20-750-2262C-2R) & EtherNet I/P comms (20-750-ENETR) to a ControlLogix system (1756-EN2TR).

Programming & configuration through RSLogix 5000 V20.54.

I've added the drive to the I/O configuration using the latest AOP and was wondering if anyone knew how to access the I/O in the additional module.

I'm guessing my only option is explicit messaging?

Regards,

Matt

Explicit messaaging would be one option.
The other one would be the PF753 and RSL5K drive module's DPI Datalinks feature; the Datalinks will have to be setup within RSL5K at the time of the module's addition and within the PF753 application file.
Refer to http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/pm/750-pm001_-en-p.pdf / http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/rm/750-rm002_-en-p.pdf

and

for RSL5K PowerFlex integration using DPI Datalinks.

DPI Datalinks are additional communications data packets exchanged between the CPU controller and the PF processor; within the drive, the user could "link" any drive parameter (including on-board I/O state) to the said DPI Datalinks buffer which will be then automatically and implicitly written to or read from by the Logix class controller.

Thanks dmargineau.

I was looking through the datalinks but couldn't work out how to add the IO module to the drive configuration so that the data would show up as an accessible IO module. Have worked it now, I had to add a new peripheral device (IO module) in the drive tab in RSLogix.

problem to use AOP V4.05 with Logix5000

I try to use AOP v4.05 in Logix 5000 (V.19) but can not success to install the drive for 20750ENETR.

You are not "using" the AOPs; the package is installed "on-top" of the RSL5K software package.
Study:

and
http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/750com-um008_-en-p.pdf

Install the drive and the communication option; configure it as is it is described within the User Manual; connect it to the subnet and use the Match Drive option of the RSL5K Drive Module General Tab/Change applet; RSL5K will upload the drive configuration and establish the required "connections"; SAVE when done.

it is said there is no way to use 20750 ENETR in Logix 5000 (v19)

can i use logix 5000 v19 to add 20750 ENETR?

The Add On Profiles for 755

I tried to install AOP for Logix5000 many times, the (V4.05), but always failed. Cannot find the 20750ENETR. Tried both Win 7 and XP for logix5000. I also tried the PF525 AOP, it works. Looks like something wrong.

Yes you could use it, however, the original RSL5K Rev.19 install package most likely did not include the latest PF755 modules' profiles.

Go to http://www.ab.com/support/abdrives/webupdate/index.html
and in the lower left corner choose RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles then RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles (non CIP Motion) ;
Download and install the AOP package then you will be able to add the PF755 to the RSL5K project.

Did the Drives AOP 4.05 install properly? Were you prompted that the install was completed?
If not, then you will not be able to use the AOPs from within and most likely the RSL5K Rev.19 install is faulty; they will be avilable in lower installed revisiona also.
I'd try cleanly re-installing RSLogix 5000 Rev.19 (and then the Drives AOPs 4.05)or, installing RSL5K Rev.20 which I think contains the PF755 communication profiles.
One mention for all RSL5K installs:
When the splash screen starts listing all the install options, "check" all the hardware modules' options;it seems that the default AOPs are very few.

AOP issue

Downloaded AOP v4.04 from Rockwell website, problem solved. Many thanks

Powerflex 753 Add-On Profile Tag description

Hello Friends

First of all Wish all of you a Happy Holi.

I have a confusion regarding the tag generated when i added the Add-On Profile of Powerflex 753.

for example in the Output Tag we have Tag Named "O.LogicCommand_Start" & "O.LogicCommand_Run" I don't know which tag I should use to Start the Drive. Can someone help me to find the tag description/Information.
