DC current

What do you mean by barrier?? And where are you planning on installing these?

The output seems mapped from 4-20mA, so it can go directly into the PLC input if configured correctly.
 
By barrier, I suppose you mean a signal isolator? If you look at the specs on that NK unit, it says that the isolation voltage is UL listed at 1270V, tested to 3000V. That's better than most of the little "terminal block" style signal isolators you find (Phoenix Contact is 375V for example). You are good to go.

Yes this is what I meant to say. Signal isolator.

This should measure Amps that DC motor takes during connection (tightening) of drill pipes on drilling rig. Then from that measurement PLC should calculate Torque applied on drill pipe.
