Emerson FX 455 drifting problem

We have a cut-to-length line that utilizes an Emerson FX 455 drive to drive the feed rolls. The problem is that it continually creeps at a rate of almost 3 inches per minute. There is no menu item that I can change, that has any effect. I have even restored the default gain parameters with no success.
Anyone ever had this problem?

Do you have an Input assigned as Stop Motion?
And if so does it creep when stopped?
I worked on a lot of these years ago and never saw this

It creeps as long as power is applied.
We inherited this line from a sister company that we shut down in Mexico and I do not have the original copy of the RSLogix 500 program that runs the machine; which means I don't have the rung comment file, so I do not know if there is a Stop Motion bit. I have simulated a 500 part run and everything functioned, but if the line is paused, or stopped, the feed rolls creep. A funny thing is that we discovered the resolver was bad on the motor when we were installing the line and even with the motor leads removed, the drive indicated that it was creeping...with no motor and no resolver.
I uploaded the parameters and loaded them into another FX 455 we bought and it does the same thing. I am assuming that it is a programming issue since this is the first one I ever had to deal with.
 
Since you have the PCX software you can see what functions are assigned to the inputs
The file has 2 extensions .pcx and .lst
the .lst file can be opened in any text editor if you can post a copy of the file

what letter/number is on the LED display when this occurs?

inputs #1&2 are set to Jog and has no debounce time possible there is noise on this input ?? try temporarily removing the wires?
Input 5 is Stop Motion
 
Saw this once many years ago! Ended up making the stop signal constant as the momentary wasn't "holding" it.
Does it ever stop? Does it continue to creep for an hour, day??
 
It creeps as long as power is applied.
I can go into the diagnostic screen and inhibit the bridge and the motor will stop. however, the velocity still indicates .25 FPM.
 
"A" is displayed.
When the resolver and motor leads are disconnected, the diagnostics still indicate that the drive has .25 FPM of velocity.
This has happened on the original and our spare drives.

The drive case was marked for the 3rd "on" and the fourth "off". I turned the 3rd "off" and it immediately stopped.
I will do some dry runs now to see if it holds up.
