rslogix 500 export tags

I am trying to export tags from rslogix500 to a .csv but the output and input tags wont export. is there a way to do this? the rest of the tags export fine

I just tried this....

Tools>Database>ASCII Export, pick the "CSV" tab at the top, hit OK.

It exported all of the address desc, including for the I/O.

You're getting everything except the I/O? Have you tried another project, just to see if it's something with your current project file?

Ok, I got all the tags I misread the csv file. they just wont import into cmore. (input and output)

i see that slc5/1 and /2 cant import input and out put but i cant find where to distinguish which version of slc5 it is

Most HMI's can't read the I/O tables of a SLC, so there is no reason to import them into HMI software.

I ended up manually importing the I/O and c-more let me do that. So your saying that even if it let me bring the tags in the HMI might not be able to read them? its a slc5/3 btw. Thank you

From my experience, I could never export / import the Local I/O, I always had to create a Binary Tag and export the Binary Tags for Rs Logix 500.
