Hi All,

Newbie here!

Hope y'all well.

I have a Micrologix 850 and Schneider Powermonitoring.

My question is how can I communicate them and show it to my HMI.

What else do i need to buy to enable to communicate them both.

Thank you very much.

I'm assuming you are working with a Micro850 and NOT a Micrologix?

I believe the Schneider Powermonitoring device is setup for Modbus (But I don't know that for sure, as I don't know exactly the unit your are referring too.)

But Modbus/TCP would be how I would want to communicate.

I have attached the ION6200 PowerLogic Modbus Address Map.

Here's how I would approach, but keep in mind this may not be the best way!!

Create a Ladder in the Micro850 and use the Modbus/Tcp function/instruction block.

Program using the command (3) to read the needed address from the IP address you have configured the PowerLogic. (Schneider usually uses a Modbus +1 Offset - but if that does not return the expected results then just use without offset.)

If you want to "write" back to the device(address) use command (16)

This should get you started.

I'm assuming you know how to network the 2 devices together!
