ET200s Online

Hey there,

Just wondering if any of you may have experience with the ET200s bus in Siemens?
Basically what I want is a bool or value to tell me that the bus is online and running. The reason for this is I have a 1Count5 on the bus and want to turn off the SW_Gate when the bus is offline so I don't return the current count to 0 - then when its back online I load the last value to the counter and enable the SW_Gate again.

I have set up OB100 to load the value to the counter after PLC power up, but the ET200 is powered externally in another machine.

Any thoughts?

You dont write if the ET200S is on Profibus or Profinet.
Then it is good that Siemens has made a solution that works for both:
Diagnostic package PNIODiag for diagnostic evaluation for PROFIBUS DP and PROFINET IO
It is quite comprehensive, probably more than what you need, but from the screenshot of the panel with the active and faulty stations, you can see that you can get status information for each node.
