I downloaded the melsec medoc start-up guide from here, went to Mitsibushi and downloaded the Medoc Dos program, followed the instructions perfectly, and failed completely.

According to the instructions I;

Insert system disk to drive A and type:
A:INSTALL A: C:\MEDOC [ENTER]

THAT DIDN'T WORK, my computer never gave me an oppertunity to do the typing

So I used a dos start-up disk, rebooted, got the A prompt, typed in
A:install A:C\MEDOC[enter] and a message says my file path is incorrect.

My computer is running Windows XP
I tried booting up in dos
I tried everything in my limited knowledge of stuff to try.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I tried adding space(s), not putting any in, capitol letters, lower case, and am now trying several several "Truckstop bathroom wall" words to describe my experience at this.

Seriously though, I'm doing something wrong and don't have a clue as to what it is.

Was I on the right track by booting up in DOS?

Asking the obvious

Where did you save the download to? Have you transferred it to a floppy disk? If not you'll have to use the path to wherever the downloaded INSTALL.EXE is located rather than A:/
