A soon-to-be-introduced analyzer will have an integrated OPC UA server.

In addition to some 10-12 discrete status indicator, there's probably 20-30 variables that need to be displayed and trended, and a handful of discrete functions.

Is there such a thing as an HMI panel with an integrated OPC UA client that can talk to the analyzer's OPC UA without a full blown HMI application running on an industrial PC?

I'm thinking Red Lion G315 with an integrated OPC UA client.

OPC UA client/server functionality is becoming more and more common integrated into devices. So nice to break away from DCOM and OPC DA.

I know the Siemens Comfort panels I've used can be both. I wouldn't be surprised if most brands support it these days.

No, not many HMIs support OPC UA. Or at least, you should assume they do not support it until you hear specifically that they do.

These are the HMIs that I know of which support OPC UA Client

These are the HMIs that I am (90% - 100%) sure do NOT support OPC UA Client: IDEC, Automation Direct, Weintek, Pro-face, Maple Systems, Rockwell Automation, Red Lion, Mitsubishi, Omron and Schneider.
