Just installed Protools V6.0 on a new laptop and when software starts up I get a message saying;

"No configuration file was specified in the command line or in the "PTProRun.ini" file. Do you want to load a configuration file?"

When I select "Yes" it gives me "My Documents" folder but I don't know where to go from there. It's askling for an *.fwd file.

Note: I have *.pdb files but no *.fwd file.

Any takers?

Try to start Protool Pro CS in stead of Protool Pro RT.
The *.fwd file is the actual Runtime file.
The one you load to the HMI panel.
Jesper is right, you are starting the RT which is the runtime. So the software has to look for a valid *.fwd file and can't find it.
