PLc and Motorola V66

I have a project to replace an existing GSM Modem with Motorola V66 for SMS messaging using PLC. Previously I use an RS 232 port to send AT command to dirve the GSM Modem. But now we are provided with a Motorola V.66 handset. Please advise thow can I communicate with this handset model to send out SMS. Thank you.
