HI AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

IN MY COMPANY WE HAVE A MACHINE WHICH CONTROLLED BY SLC 5/02 PROCESSOR AND ONE OF THE MODULE IN THE PLC SYSTEM IS ANALOGE MODULE 1746-NIO4V AND SET TO VOLTAGE INPUT AND VOLTAGE OUTPUT THIS MODULE FUNCTION AS:
1 CONTROL AIR PRESSURE OF THE SYSTEM WHICH WORKS FINE WHEN OPERATOR CHANGE THE AIR PRESSURE TO REQUIRED VALUE PRESSURE CHANGES ACCORDINGLY NO PROBLEM

2 THE OTHER FUNCTION IS TO INDICATE THE ARMATURE CURRENT OF DC MOTOR (DC INDICATING METER IS MY LOAD WHICH IS 50 MILI VOLT FULL SCALE DEFLECTION.

I HAVE CHECKED ON LINE INPUT AND OUT PUT WORK OK AS THE POT ON THE CONTROL TURNED CLOCKWISE THE RPM GOES UP WHCH WORKS FINE BUT I DO NOT SEE ANY THING ON INDICATING GAUGE TO SHOW THE CURRENT OF DC MOTOR AND JUST TO REMIND YOU THAT WIRING IS OK NOW MY QUESTION:

IS IT POSSIBLE THIS OUT PUT CHANNEL NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY EVEN THOUGH ON LINE MONITOR SHOWS EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER.

I LIKE TO ADD THAT ONE RESISTOR 20 KILO OHMS IS CONNECTED IN PARALLEL WITH THE INDICATOR

Have you verified the meter works? You can verify the output by using any multimeter, most have a MV option these days (especially digital multimeters).

I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CARRY THE TEST PROCEDURE AS THE MACHINE IS BEING LOCKED OUT FOR PM AND FOR THE TIME BEING I AM TRYING TO GATHER INFO BUT HOPEFULLY I WILL PERFROM THE NECESSARY TESTS.

Basic Electricity

Meter movements are driven by current. Sensitivity is expressed as required current for full scale deflection. The common garden variety used in most multimeters is 50 microamps which yields the common 20Kohm/volt rating.
The multiplier resistor used to convert the meter from a current measuring device into a voltage measuring device is placed in series with the meter, not parallel. Parallel, or shunt, resistors are for changing the current range of the meter.

Assuming you have a 50 microamp movement and want to measure 0-10 volts, Ohm's law will quickly tell you that the circuit impedance should be 200K. Put that value in series with the meter. The meter's resistance is small by comparison and, for your application, probably insignificant.

I assume you are referring to the following:
"voltage outputs (OUT 0 and OUT 1) of the NIO4V and NO4V
are referenced to ANL COM. Load resistance (R1) for a voltage
output channel must be equal to or greater than 1K ohms."

So, what is your point?
