It seem there is hardware switch and software setting for signal type one the 1762-IF4?

I have a project that I inherited, the hardware swtich is set to current input, and that is what I want. But I just noticed that in the IO config for the card in 52 500 it is set to -10 to +10V.

I have a pH signal that outputs 4mA at 0pH and 20 mA at 14pH.
If I set the IO config to 4-20mA. What should the raw input range be?

  • 0 to 32768 ??
  • 6553 to 32768 ??
And last it should indeed be set to 4-20mA in the IO config right? otherwise I relay am just getting a voltage signal and not a current signal. Correct?

Yes, set the IO config to match the hardware switch.

31206 20 mA
6241 4 mA

unless you have it scaled for PID in the config.

then
16383 20 mA
0 4 mA
