Hi all,
The plant I work in seems to have a lot of contamination that affects our Ethernet connectors on all of our control panels.

We are constantly losing communication to drives and PLC's at random times. The technicians are simply wiggling the cables or unplugging and plugging them back in to get things back up.

What are the best things you found to clean the jacks and plugs?

Electrical contact cleaner and a fine brush.

A soft wire brush preferred when the other end of the cable is not plugged in.

A plastic toothbrush when the other end of the cable is probably plugged in.
