We currently have 5 T2 toshiba plcs running our line. I am wanting to put a WonderWare HMI on the whole line for easier troubleshooting. The problem is I am not familiar enough with the Toshiba product to do so. I am an allen bradley guy that is used to Wonderware and RSLinx. All of the current allen bradley projects have a wonderware application running over ethernet. The Toshiba T2s do not have ethernet capability only a RS485 and RS232 port. Before me, someone bought Lantronix RS485/232 to ethernet adapters and then left the company and I am not sure if they had any success or even tried to get them working. But I am not sure even where to get started. What do I need to use as RSLinx for the Toshiba? Also, the toshiba plcs are on a fixed scan rate, so anything I do cannot effect that. Please help.
