Shared DB in RSLogix5000

Hello,

is it possible to create a data block, something like shared datablock in Siemens STEP 7, in the RS Logix5000 PLC project?

I would like to group different information (variables of different data types) in one datablock.

There's no datablocks... There are UDTs and Arrays. You need to get acquainted with the search function in the tag editor.

I was looking for a convenient way to group a number of variables of a different types (bools, INT and REALs). In Siemens TIA/STEP7 DB is a really good way to do so.
So, the best approach would be to create a separate UDT in RSLogix i.e. a new variable that will consists of all these variables inside it.
I will investigate this possibility and how to do that.

That's THE way to do it. Leave spares in the UDT as you'll need it to add variables without stopping the process.
