Hi Friends!
Just a quick one please.
is it possible for an RTU to send data straight to cloud(dedicated web-HTML5) without requiring a SCADA package running on a server?

Yes, but you need an ISP, an Ethernet Port, and software on the RTU to format the data, and/or software on the cloud to poll the RTU or accept the data pushed to the cloud. The most common approach fo what you want to do, I think, is to have SCADA type software running in the cloud (SAS or Software as a Service).

Thanks Bro.

Which package can do it without a local server? can Factory Talk View SE View Point achieve that without having a dedicated server at the plant?

Ignition - (FREE) demo - download and test drive yourself. The demo is a 100% working, but has to be reset every 2 hours.
