"(S44) PLC requested action has failed"
Result when WRITE the RAM program to the EEPROM.
No pre-confirmation message first.
VERIFY fails too, seems to not hit EEPROM either.

Changing broken clip modules on 10slot backplane IC693CHS391N
Prepared workbench with spare backplane/PWR321 & NEW CPU331 IC693CPU331-CE FW=8.4 WIN98PC+LM90 6.01+IC690ACC901 cable.

At OEM machine, I can WRITE to EEPROM successfully.
CPU331 FW=8.4 also.

But on workbench, failure.
New EEPROM XICOR X28HC256P-15. JP1=2-3
Confirm, resetting fault table for missing I/O after transfer Not assigning a SNP-ID either.

Some initial thoughts or direction? I could appreciate.
Thinking try another type EEPROM or migrate the old one.
But would like to succeed at the workbench.

Correct, the WRITE is from RAM to EEPROM.
So LM90 WRITE function is only starting the process.
Transfer from programmer to PLC RAM is successful.
Program onboard PLC, and after to WRITE is a failure.
Program will RUN, but after power cycle is empty again.
logic parameter changed to RAM, and then is OK.
But I would like to match the existing CPU with an EEPROM.

Is my concern too.
In the attach photo, the EEPROM is new
It is listed in GFK-0356P manual as a third party compatible

I ordered it from here because it was in stock.
I would feel more confident if was GE as well.
Do you know another IC supplier?
Or better yet a GE supplier or cross reference?

Perfect, and thanks a lot.
Both are vendors with accounts already
Our buyer is running with the GEXPro # 602545
Now I have to pack everything up and go work from home for the next weeks.
Good luck and be safe, Ill update again after I have gotten EEPROMs.
