I'm working with twidosuite program for a few twido plc's I have in my school system. My question is how do I program the PLC to control a vfd. I can program the PLC to turn the vfd on/off but I can't figure out out to make the 0 to 10 volts for the reference signal to make the vfd ramp up and down using a set temperature. Can someone give me some pointers on how to do that. Thanks.

Do you have analogue input and output modules on the PLC?

Normally you'd use a PID loop to compare the temperature feedback(analogue input) with the set point and adjust the VFD speed using the analogue output.

Yes I do have the input and output modules. I can write using temperature to turn on pumps and other equipment but I can't figure out how to control a vfd. I kind of figured it was with a PID but none of the documentation is of much help to me, I don't understand them. Would you know how to write the PID function?
