i have WIN911 (latest version) alarm notifier software using OPC-DA to communicate with Citect SCADA V7.5.

WIN 911 does not have the ability to "write" its status ("Active" or "Standby" modes) to SCADA. when my plant is down i want to be able to display the status of the notifier directly at any client workstation.

has anyone found a good way to do this other than scripting with a batch file?
