Hi guys,
I'm looking for a camera to fix it on a machine, we have collisions that happen from time to time and it goes by so quickly that we don't know the cause!
I'm looking for a camera with a good resolution and can record up to 24 hours of recording. and a cloud backup (a file on our network) and it has the possibility of going back 8 hours and that the camera once the memory is dedicated is full it starts to delete the oldest video.
I found choices on the internet but I need your advice or if you have experience with this guy.
thank you

Camera recording hardware tends to be limited in what make/models of cameras they will record. I think you first need to determine what framerate you need in order to see the crash with enough resolution to troubleshoot from. After that, choose a camera and NVR that are capable.

An IP security camera and Blue Iris on a PC could work. Dahua makes some varifocal low light cameras for security that are power over ethernet.

How many frames per second do you need?

I've used many of these cameras in the past. The only bug I recall is the newer firmware/versions had a glitch and you needed to restart a service on the server or it'd get all glitchy. That was about 4 years ago so maybe they fixed it or you just need to ask what service needs a reboot once a week. (version 4 something was the last version to not have the glitch from memory)

I think the licensing was fairly reasonable, like 1 or 2 camera's is "free" and beyond that you started paying.

My electricians were able to setup new cameras fairly regularly the issue on the back end was that the more cameras you add the more storage you need to add or the playback shortens a lot.

Also, have an independent network for video, you don't want a video stream on your production network (IT network maybe).

We use AXIS as well on a dedicated network with NVRs. I’m sure you don’t want to go down that road as expense will be drastic... Most AXIS cameras allow recording to a dedicated on board SD card. This sounds more like what you need as a one off solution.

Yeah, I only brought up the network so whoever uses this advice doesn't just say put it on the process network and I'll look at it on my laptop.

Depending how temp/one off it might even make sense to have a dedicated computer the camera connects directly too. Then you could remote desktop into the computer connected to the camera.

I haven't tried the SD way, but that's because I'm lazy and when I want to watch the video or recordings I'm going to try and do it from where ever I'm sitting.

There have already been some good solutions mentioned but here are a few more.

You could get a Ubiquiti camera and NVR

I have some customers that use this below but I have no idea about the price.

My local AB distributor also sells this.

Is there a NAS device already on your network that could also act as an NVR? For example, a QNAP NAS can also be an NVR.

60 fps should not be a problem to find in an IP camera.
