Hi all

I have a customer with a PLC2 processor - does anyone know what software Allen Bradley or otherwise can be used to program, monitor and change logic in the processor. Also would appreciate if you could tell me what cable etc would be needed.

The customer already has a PCMK card.

Also would it be possible to get an activation or copy of activation for AI software for PLC2?????

Thanks in advance

Pls check

i am sending old replay s on Plcs.net if possible pls check

I think you have to use one of these:

Heres the manual:

I am not positive about the PLC-2, I know AB stopped supporting them several years ago. At the time they had migration tools to convert to a PLC5.
This may offer some help: http://www.ab.com/silver/plc2.html
You are correct, the PCMK and PCM/2 cable is used with the PLC-2, should have looked in my PCMK manual.
It looks like you have your facts correct.
Yes 6200 can be used....before you get too frustrated goto the AB download section. There are some tools there to help with using a PCMK on the PLC2. I believe there are also some conversion tools too.

You can get a "credit" from AB thru the Step Forward program:

Hello hitesh;
If you do a search on PLC2 in the Rockwell site (www.ab.com) you will get much information on products still supported by the manufacturer.
For comms, here is an extract fron one of those ocuments:

Hope this helps,

TOPDOC is an option

You can still purchase TOPDOC PLC-2 at a reasonable price, with support, from the manufacturer. It is DOS software, but will run on Win95/98. It comes with a serial port cable to connect to the PLC-2 front port so no special card is needed.

A very good, and comparitively inexpensive option is the PLC WorkShop for Allen-Bradley PLC-2 made by FasTrak SoftWorks, Inc. This can be purchased directly from FasTrak, or can also be purchased through PLCCenter - Radwell International. FasTrak still supports the software and it is a far less expensive option than Rockwells offering.
