Panel View 300

When it starts up it goes through it's autotest. But it stops and says error 31.
From what I've read here (very little) and online search, it says "stuck test key".
Anyone know anything about it or how to fix/repair it?

I say 'think' becaues I am at home so I can't open it (takes to long) and have a very slow connection, I think that they list the errors, they may have a solution as well

I looked at the same manual, and it gives no further details than what the OP stated.

Sounds as if one of the keys on the keyboard may be stuck or damaged

Well I took it apart and found corrosion on a bit of the board.
I cleaned it up and I was still getting the error.
The thing comes in 3 peices. Main board, lcd board, and there is a ribbon that attaches to the buttons. I disconected the ribbon part and it started up. Not sure if it can totally be used as a touch screen or not. Not sure if AB will sell me just the buttons either.

You could buy a used one from e-bay and swap parts to make a good unit? it may be a cheap fix

The PanelView Standard's bezel parts are glued together pretty tightly to get the NEMA 4X environmental rating, so the keypads aren't field-replaceable. You might be able to get the terminal repaired by Rockwell, though.

Error code 31 on PV terminals is exactly what it says; the autotest procedure found one or more of the keys on the keypad were turned on at startup. You can simulate it just by holding a key down during bootup of the terminal.
