Earth Control Panels Guidelines

I'm a project engineer from Belgium ( Europe ). I've been recently involved in the design, programmation and commissioning control panels for the United States & Canada. ( UL & CSA certification )

Now I have to search which guidelines I should use for control panels which will be placed in Mexico.

Is there anyone out there would could give me the name of certification I'll need?

Does there excist something like a website containing this for every country in the world ?

Kind Regards,
Stefaan

I think that depends on the company you are providing the panel for. My experience in the USA is driven by the company that I am designing a panel for. Not ALL companies in the USA require a U.L. panel. So that means you can pretty much do what you know and it will be good enough. I personally feel that a CE panel is the hardest to comply with, so if you take your CE experience and make a panel for a Mexico company, I am sure you'll be just fine.

The best thing to do is ask for a panel spec from the Mexico company, which should be a USA controlled company I assume. I'll about guess that they will not require a U.L. panel or any specs of that nature.

I've done about five U.L panels in my life, I guess I am not in the correct industry that requires U.L. panel design.

Hope that helps.

Check www.tuv.com, international approvals, for more information. TUV Rheinland appears to have better worldwide coverage than other approval services.

Luck,
