Ni pac
I know this is a PLC forum, but does anybody have experience migrating to the NI Labview Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC's)? The NI hardware and Labview software look to be very nicely designed and proven products. I am consdering the compact RIO, due to the controls requirements of this design. Has anybody experienced any pitfalls with this hardware or software? I am primarily concerned with the RTOS (Is it WinCE?). Is it robust? Or, does it need kicked sometimes? I got burned with another manufacturers' controller (name makes you think of sesame street) that used a CE RTOS. I would like to try to gather as much info up front before I go with another one. Thanks in advance!
