Hello all its dum dum again!!!
Could one of you plc gurus explain to me,or show me in ladder logic terms how to use the (strn) command i have direct soft5 software and a 205 plc wit a 230 cpu..what im trying to-do is write a program for a inline splitter and write in a home it program in other words if the splitter was shut down or the cylinders leaked down from home you could push a home it button and put everything in home position..and to do this it would be easy if the home postion rung was untrue power the output coil ...the easy way would be to use the (not) command but the 230 cpu doesn't offer this command so now ive been told i could use the (strn) command and i just can't seem to figure it out was even wondering if this command was offerd in the 230 but it is ..in the help section it has no written examples on how to use this command any help would be very help again thanks all you guys have been a great help so far ..dave

Get the manual for the CPU here. Read EVERYTHING. It should answer a lot of your questions.
