Help data logging from s7-300 to pc - PLCS.net

hi guys
i have been asked a question regarding catching data from a s7-300 and sending it to a computer?
on the s7 i have mpi and dp connection, could i connect a serial conection via mpi/dp to the pc?

how easy is it to catch data and send to pc?

and is there any info i can read that would help me or a step by step video (youtube) that could help me

For simple datalog to CSV files there is Deltalogic Easylog:
http://www.deltalogic.de/content/view/20/37/lang,en/

Alternative here that can log to CSV, Access or MySQL, but needs a NetLink for going via ethernet to MPI/DP:
http://www.hs-automation-software.com/
