URGENT - Kepware OPC server stuck in background
Hi,
My vb.net program was running quite well until I decided to experiment a bit. I chose the following settings: Automatically Start as Windows NT service Hide application window when started by a client or the service control manager Hide application window when minised and add to system tray. Now the opc server runs hidden and I don't know how to bring it to the foreground. There are additional things I need to do on my program. The server icon is not seen in the system tray. Tried to uninstall KEP OPC server. I got the message: Setup has detected that the server is running as a service. Please stop the service and re-run setup. However, I cannot find the service control manager. I looked up the Windows Task Manager also. Can anyone please help. Urgent. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks. I solved the problem soon after. Went to the services tab in the services.msc file and disabled the kepware server. Also had to go to the servermain.ini file and reset to zero the 'ones' in the view and start (hide) sections for the settings mentioned in my initial post. I could then uninstall and reinstall the whole thing easily.
