There is an add on from Citect for Excel
I think it is on the Citect install disk in an extras folders, or you can get it of the web from the Citect site

I use OpenOffice.org's Calc. It's free and it doesn't mess up the column widths. That's why you need the add-on for Excel. If you don't use it, the column widths get screwed-up and Citect has problems with that.

I have been told that some of the database utilities on portableapps.com are also usable, but so far I didn't have the need to try these out.

Kind regards,

The add on is available from the Citect website but you have to have a membership and your support, or the site support, have to be up to date to get in.
Getting harder to get by the system now that Schneider own it and want to make lots of money.

I'm running citect 7.20 SP3 on windows 7 and I can't find the variable.dbf file anywhere. I'm also having trouble finding the add-in on the citect website. does anybody know the name of it?
Thanks a lot!
