Keyence KV-300 PLC - PLCS.net

Does anybody have experience with this PLC? I'm a Rockwell guy, so I'm not familar with it. I need to get online with it. What software and com cables do I need? Thanks!

Hello,

I spent a little time with a KV16AR. It uses the Ladder Builder software. The PLC has serial ports. The cable was op26487.

The KV's are easy. You'll have to register at keyence.com to download the free trial software that is fully operational. The manuals should have the cable pin out in them, so you can make your own.

Thanks. Yes customer bought the software and cables. Now I need to figure out the ladder programming! Anyone with experience with this? I'm Rockwell guy!

Not as familiar with the 300 series versus the KV series.
From what I remember the 300 series has slightly more options / space.

As far a programming I would suggest downloading the Keyence manual #3 (programming). Just register at the Keyence site and it should be available.

Start by creating a basic program and run the simulator function to get familiar with it.

There are sample programs as well on Ladderbuilder, open one up, run the simulator and take a look.
