1762-IQ32T Wiring Question

Greetings!

In the attached wiring diagram the pairs: DC COM 1, DC COM 2, etc... Are they internally jumpered? So in other words, if I want to wire my card to sink a sourcing sensor, I would only need (4) -24VDC connections to the card, not (8), correct?

Yes you are correct. The commons per input points are not connected.

Would it be bad practice to use one wire from Common supply to Point 1, then go from the 2nd point 1 to point 2, and so on? Assuming the original wire (back to PS) was sufficient to carry the current

I never do that, but only because on a 32 bit card it takes up too much space
