i want to create a timer of such to monitor 20,400 secs i know omron timers/counters only count to 9999.

i know i need to create a 1 sec timer and after every second my batch counter counts down by one however the counter doesnt have 20400 seconds available so can i set a counter to #3400 and after every 3400 counters put that into a data register is this possible.

or is there a better way of doing this

I suggest that you look at the TIMX, TIML, TIMLX, and CNTX instructions.

You could simply configure a counter to increment whenever your 204 second, self reseting timer is done. When the counter counts 10 events, you will have elapsed 20,400 seconds.

Is there no real time clock available?
Timers are notoriously not exact.
