Spark Gap. Should read open. It's used to discharge high voltage spikes. Does the same job as a MOV. Protects equipment from high voltage transients.

Link similar to the type shown in the photo. Don't know where to buy the glass types.

It's better known as a Gas Discharge Tube. If you're trying to replace the device shown, I'd use this one from Littlefuse.
