Old Toshiba PLC’s

I’m looking for a way of uploading the program code from a group of really old and obsolete Toshiba PLC’s which a customer is currently using on his various sites.


The model numbers are:

EX10
EX20
EX40
EX100

Would it be correct to say that I need a RS-232 to TTL converter to hook up my laptop to the PLC. Does anyone know where I can buy one?


Also any advice on the software required would be a great help

And You have hard key for EXPDD? But I have program and have made cable but how to get hard key?

The software in the first two links (EXPDD250 V2 and V3) work but one is for offline and the other is for online if you dont have a hard key.
If it is for the third link (EXPDD2040-V2)let me know.

Software Key D100

I have downloaded all three softwares. My machine has both EX40 and EX28B Toshiba controllers. I have a Cutler-Hammer D100CPM232 Ser A2 Converter. What software should I use? The file format that was on the PC that crashed with the software we did use was .prg. Will those programs work with one of those softwares? If so Can I get a key to it please?

I´m a teacher in a electronic school, and i have one ex28b plc , i downloaded the software , and i build the cable adapter , but the software ask me for a hard key , so were i can get one please?

do you know if the ex20 and ex40 software should work on a xp machine. I am trying to upload from a d100 and need to run the software. I have the rs232 converter but no software and cable

Search For more posts by me for a cable diagram. You use regular ethernet RJ-45 cable ends, BUT, dont wire it like an ethernet cable. The pinouts are different. If you want to make a cable, pin 1 on one end goes to pin 8 on the other, pin 2 goes to pin 7, and continue in this fashion. Check your PM's for more information. I'm not sure about the XP compatability but the D100 program opens properly for me on a 1.5 gig pentium machine A-Open brand.

You're welcome. It is version 2.2 made in 1991. When I said to check your PM's (Private Message) in the other post, it was because it included a link that might be helpful.

edit:
I can confirm that it works with XP on the computer I mentioned in the other post. Keep in mind though, my computer has a real RS232 commport, not a USB to RS232 commport adapter.
