panelview and rslinx Classic help

Hello,
I could use some basic help getting started with my system. I figured out how to make a simple program and download it to the pv plus 1000. I "think" it is looking at the "system hour" of the PLC just to get a number on the screen. My problem is I have some tags setup in the PLC but can't seem to "browse" to them with the laptop, or configure them for a basic numeric display. I'm missing some fundamentals. Is there a video or basic tutorial about this?

The Video Links helped a lot! I was able to get everything up and running to use native tags such as I/O variables, as well as pointing to a .acd file that contained some user-defined tags to PLC memory locations. That's perfect. Thanks so much!
