Hi,

I have a problem. When I try to open one of my graphic displays I get an error:

''Unable to load ActiveX control for display [Display Name].
cause: RSView32/SE Idle Detect Control: ActiveX control not found on computer.''

I've never worked with RSView32 before and I have no idea how to solve this issue.

Help! Please!:(

The Idle detect is an Active X plugin for RSView32, it is often used to logout current user, and log in a view only user. It sounds like someone migrated or updated your project to a new PC/Server, and did not install the Active X plugin. You need to install the plugin.

Thank you Ken,

Would you happen to know where I can download this ActiveX plugin? And which folder should I save it to?
The virtual machine that I am using for this has Windows XP on it.

Sorry, but I am a complete beginner here...

Hi,

I do not have a folder ActiveX Control Setup and there is no file with the name of IdleDetect.ocx.

Also when I try to create an ActiveX object I get an error message saying 'failed to create ActiveX object'.
And in the 'Insert an ActiveX Control' tab I have no options for RSView32/SE Idle Detect Control.

Can I download this IdleDetect.ocx from somewhere?

Thanks,
Olga

I don't see why you couldn't create the folders manually. Also, the download for the idledetect activeX control is at the bottom of the KB article that Ken linked, which does require a TechConnect contract to access. It is titled "idledetect.zip" under the attachments header.

Thank you both!!! It worked!!
Sorry, I did not notice the attachment before, that's why I was so confused.

Thank you so much!
