Unable to access 1769 AENTR card through 1783 NATR Card

Dear All,

If you could please help me with the following issue it would be very helpful. Trying to solve this for the last week.

I've a L33ERM CompactLogix with an IP range of 10.65.42.XX connected to public side of a 1783 NATR card.

We've 1769 AENTR card with Remote IO cards connected to it. The AENTR card is in the IP range of 192.168.1.XX. The AENTR is connected to private side of the NATR.

When I connect to the second port of NATR private side I can see both the NATR and the AENTR and all the RIO cards similarly when I connect to AENTR direclty all works fine. When I Connect on the public side I can only see the NATR not the AENTR/the RIO cards. I've done all the Gateway and the NAT table settings. None seems to work.

NAT Table public (10.65.42.YY) -> private (192.168.1.ZZ). I've given the gateway settings for the AENTR card connected on the private side.

What am I missing here. Both cards works fine independently but when I browse through the NATR's public side its in vain.

Kindly please provide an insight.

Just to clarify - are you are using the following settings? Just guessing on the mask/gateway

1769-L33ERM - IP 10.65.42.XYZ, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 10.65.42.1
1783-NATR (public) - IP 10.65.42.XYZ, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 10.65.42.1
1783-NATR (private) - IP 192.168.1.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, no gateway
1769-AENTR - IP 192.168.1.XYZ, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.1.1

NAT table: PUBLIC 10.65.42.XYZ -> PRIVATE (192.168.1.XYZ)

When you say you can "see" things connected to the private side, are you talking about ping/icmp, an RSLinx/FTLinx driver, port test, or something else? If using RSLinx Classic, I would create an Ethernet driver (not EtherNet/IP) and manually add PUBLIC address listed in the NAT table to the driver list.

Hi aawilliams85, Thank you for your time.

"See" things means I've used RS Linx linx on the private port of the NATR card and I could see both NATR card and the AENTR card along with all RIO cards connected to the AENTR card. The above mentioned settings are correct.

With those settings, I couldn't see the AENTR card along with the RIO cards. I've no clue what wrong I'm doing here.

Can you post a screenshot of your RSLinx configuration?
