Hi All, I want to know There is some relationship between SLC500 or PLC5, Controllogix watchdog time and PID loop update time. Does it need to set watchdog time be bigger than PID loop update time? Thanks a lot.

there is no connection between the watchdog time setting and the setting of the PID loop update time ...

the watchdog monitors how much time is allowed for the program to complete each scan ...

the PID loop update time determines how often the PID is executed ... specifically, it does not determine how long the PID takes to do its job ...
