We installed about 10 of these safety interlocks about a year ago, and they have worked great. Recently, we have added the escape release handles. Now, we seem to be having issues.

Most of the time we are seeing the "2744" fault code. This means the door was opened with an escape release handle. However, I have a hard time getting the code to clear. I have read the manual, and it states to open and close the door and cycle the "LockSequenceFaultUnlatch" bit. However, it doesn't seem to always work.

Can anyone who uses these share some information, or possibly share their logic on how they reset faults. Im thinking of just removing the handles for now.

Thanks.

Which version of Logic are you currently using?
We’ve used these gate switches in the past without issues, but recently, we've started encountering the same problem. Increasing the RPI seemed to help.

What's your RPI?
Reset Logic for Lock Sequence Fault

  1. Monitor the LockSequenceFault input.
  2. When LockSequenceFault is ON and the Reset_PB (Push Button) is pressed:
    • Latch the LockSequenceFaultUnlatch output bit for a brief duration (e.g., 2 seconds).
    • After the set duration, unlatch the LockSequenceFaultUnlatch output bit automatically.

RPI was set at the default of 20ms.

My logic isnt much different. I allow the reset to be pushed at the interlock, or from our main HMI.

Does the status of the interlock matter ? Open vs closed, interlocked vs non-interlocked...ect ?

Can you confirm if both machines were affected?
I’d suggest trying to bump the RPI inputs to 50 ms. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'open' and 'closed'—I typically use 'Closed' with an 'Interlock' for the unlock request.

We have 2 machines, and 8 of these on each machine. I only have issues with the ones that have that escape release handles installed. This issue plagues both machines.

Ill update the RPI and see if that helps.

Sorry. I was referring to the status of the interlock when you enable the fault reset bit. The manual stated to open and close the interlock normally, and then reset. This doesn't for work for me.
