Can't change gateway address of 1756-ENBT

I need to change the gateway on a 1756-ENBT because I have installed a NATR on the production line. I have attempted to do it using all 3 of the methods that I know

From RSLogix ENBT properties in the I/O configuration
From RSLinx classic
Using BootP / DHCP tool
No matter which method I use, when I go back into the settings it is still set to 0.0.0.0

I have just put a new ENBT into a spare chassis on the bench, set up the IP, Subnet and Gateway using RSLinx classic and it it worked perfectly. However, I took it out to the machine and swapped it with the problematic one and the gateway instantly went back to 0.0.0.0. It's almost as if the PLC is changing it back. Any ideas?

PLC - 1756-L72 V19
Ethernet - 1756-ENBT V6.002
IP - 10.0.0.203
Subnet - 255.255.0.0
Gateway - 10.0.0.25

I suspect that PLC has a code that is overwriting the ENBT IP address and gateway. Look for a Generic CIP MSG.
