I'm trying to download the program from a Mitsubishi rcpu but gxworks 3 is telling me there's an unsupported module at IO70. Someone told me that's probably the ER-1FL2-T "fl net" and gave me the an ~2014 era FA Library DVD. I've registered hundreds of files in gxworks from that DVD and still have the same problem.

What file or DVD am I looking for to support er-1fl2-t?

How do I confirm that's the card at IO70?

Thanks for ur time reading and hopefully helping. I spent all afternoon on the seemingly simple problem.

Joe

I wouls start by looking at this link,
It may help you failing that try contacting Mitsubishi on the US site.

Parky,

Thanks for the hint, but the only download on that page is a sample program which gives me a similar error except that it identifies the missing module by name instead of starting IO.

I can hit up their support but I'm only onsite for another 24hours and need some copies of the machine code to analyze when I get home.

Is there a way to maybe ignore the incompatible module when I download from the PLC? I just need to find some basic counter locations for my MES system to read.

To be honest, I have never heard of that module so cannot say, however, it is probably configured by some utility program like the old QJ71 series Ethernet at a guess I think you could upload the code just do not tick the other boxes like PLC Parameters etc. but another thought is you might need to install the libraries for the dedicated function blocks as if they are not there it may not be able to re-constitute the program file I would try both methods i.e. read only the program files, install the libs into your blank project with & without PLC Parameters (I/O settings).
I's a long time since I had to upload from a PLC without having the original source file & to be honest not much use unless the original programmer downloaded the symbolic table to re-constitute the FBD/lad type structure.
& try

Parky's link was correct, but as someone with the same issue on mrplc pointed out, the Mitsubishi website does not show the files at all unless I am logged in. I didn't see the files I was looking for so I didn't bother logging in / registering.

Here's what I was looking for:
ER_1FL2_T_Profile_FB_Sample_Manuals.zip
containing:
ER-1FL2-T iQ-R FL-Net Profle and Function Block Library fb-mee-er1fl2t_v101b.zip
