Mitsusbishi PLC

It is possible to program Mitsubishi PLC using GX Developer.

"GX Developer supports all MELSEC controllers from the compact PLCs of the MELSEC FX series to the modular PLCs including MELSEC System Q. This software shines with a simple, intuitive interface and a short learning curve. GX Developer supports the MELSEC instruction list (IL), MELSEC ladder diagram (LD) and MELSEC sequential function chart languages. You can switch back and forth between IL and LD at will while you are working. You can program your own function blocks (MELSEC QnA/QnAS/System Q series), and a wide range of utilities are available for configuring special function modules for the MELSEC System Q."

To program the later versions you really need GX works (3) is the latest, I'm not sure that GX Developer is available for the later L & FX5, however it is bundled with GX works. But in the version I have it is not IEC only ladder or IL so if you need the function block programming I would check before purchase.

I have a question: What software language the Mitsubishi PLC uses?

MELSEC IL (Instruction List)
Ladder Diagram (Ladder Logic)
FBD (Function Block Diagram)
ST (Structured Text)
SFC (Sequential Function Chart)

All Software packages from IEC Developer onward support all 5 languages.

Daniel
