omron editing options

I need to add a small amount of logic to an Omron CJ1G-H, I have the software (CX-Programmer 9.51).

Ideally I don't want to stop the machine, so my options are?

1. Create a new program and do a partial transfer of that program only?

2. Do an online edit of a pre-existing rung, branch down from an always on bit and add my code (2 rungs)?

Or other?

I would do an online edit of a pre-existing rung. Then use the menu on the main screen to insert your new rungs. Insert | Rung | Below
