add many sensors

Hello everyone,

I use Ladder (Rslogix 5000) to write a program that help the PLC to do the "addition" opreration, the value from many pressure sensors ( 21 sensors). I think that "add" option is just for 2 ! or I have only to use this option for 11 times .
Can someone explain me how to do it quickly with ladder ?

Instead of the "add" function use the "compute" function.

Use "Structured Text" (Just my thoughts)

Total = line1 + Line2 + line3 + Line4 + Line5 + Line6 + Line7 + ?????

I do not use RSLogix 5000 so I don't how it will handle structured text.

You could use ST in RSLogix however it is a bit overkill for simple arithmetic such has this. DwSoFt is correct, simply use the compute (CPT) instruction.

If the arguments are contiguous FAL could work, too.
